Don't be scared!
Once you have made a top layer you then need to add a layer of wadding and a backing fabric. These 3 layers need to be joined together with QUILTING. This is far quicker by machine but do you know how to tackle this?
Learn the basics of Machine Quilting - "In the Ditch", "Contour", "Shadow", "Cross-hatch", etc.
A one-day course to master the basic techniques and give you the confidence to finish those quilts!

Requirements:
A Sewing Machine in good working order with instruction book and knowledge.
A "Walking Foot" for your machine - depending on the make of your machine these are readily available through sewing machine shops and online.
Sewing Kit:

• Machine needles
• Threads: a couple of coloured and a neutral
• Quilting safety pins
• Hand sewing needles
• Scissors
• Marking pen or pencil

*Fabric and wadding for working samples will be provided
