Description
The course aims to build on prior knowledge and sewing skills by introducing learners to more advanced dressmaking methods encompassed in the making of a shirt with a two-piece collar, long sleeves with a cuff and cuff opening and a front button opening. There is no need to purchase fabric and pattern before the course begins as advice on fabric choice will be given in Week 1.
At the first class the tutor will recap to check on your prior learning such as explaining how to take correct body measurements for sleeved garments, most appropriate seam types and hems for shirts, constructing collars, placket openings in sleeves, cuff attaching and front placket openings.
